Booking and price

How do I make a booking?

Choose your arrival and departure dates in the booking search on the home page. The search shows availability and the price in real time. You can pay by card — the booking is confirmed immediately.

What does the base price include?

The base price includes accommodation for 4 guests, the final cleaning, bed linen, towels, toiletries, and use of all the spaces — the shore sauna, the outdoor hot tub, the shore and the jetty. Additional guests, EV charging and experience services (jet ski, fishing trip) are priced separately. The base price covers the main house (up to 10 guests); the guest cabin is included for groups of 11–15 and can also be booked in summer (May–September) for an extra fee by smaller groups wanting more space and privacy.

How many people does Villa Purnukka sleep?

The villa sleeps up to 15 guests: the main house 10 and the guest cabin (May–September) another 5. It suits families, groups of friends, birthday celebrations and Christmas parties well.

Is there a minimum stay?

Weekends usually require a minimum of 2–3 nights. The exact minimum stay is shown in the booking calendar for the selected period.

What is the cancellation policy?

The full cancellation terms are in the booking terms. In short: a cancellation made in good time is refunded in full; a late cancellation may lead to a partial or full charge. Read the terms before booking.

How do I check the price for a given date?

A real-time price calculation appears as soon as you choose your arrival and departure dates in the booking search on the home page. The pricing page also lists the seasonal starting prices.

Spaces, amenities and activities

Is the hot tub available all year round?

Yes, the outdoor hot tub is heated and in use in every season — even in winter frost, bubbling away in the Lake Kallavesi scenery is an experience. Any exceptional maintenance is noted in the booking details.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes. There is a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, food chopper, a full set of dishes and cutlery, wine glasses, pans and pots, and basic spices (salt, pepper, oil). You’re of course welcome to bring your own special supplies.

Is the internet connection fast?

Yes, the villa has a fast Wi-Fi connection that is enough for remote work, video calls and streaming for the whole group at once. There is also a workspace with a desk and power sockets.

Can I book a boat or jet ski with my stay?

Yes. A rowing boat with a motor and a guided jet ski slot can be booked separately as extra services. Use is always confirmed according to weather and safety conditions. More on the pricing page.

Can I come to the villa with children?

Absolutely — Villa Purnukka is very family-friendly. The yard has a playhouse, a trampoline, swings, a sandbox and bicycles, including for children. Indoors there are children’s tableware, two high chairs, two cots and a safety gate. Please remember that guardians must always supervise children by the shore, on the jetty, at the sauna and in the hot tub.

Is EV charging possible?

Yes, an EV charging point is available for an extra fee. Mention your charging need when booking or message us in advance.

Where are the nearest shops and services?

The Vehmersalmi Sale grocery is about 2 km away. Through the S-kaupat app you can also order groceries delivered straight to the villa — handy on arrival day. Kuopio is about 40 km away.

Arrival and departure

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out is at 11:00. The schedule can flex according to availability — just ask in advance. Entry works with a smart lock, so there’s no waiting to hand over keys.

How do I get the arrival instructions and door code?

Detailed arrival instructions and the door code are sent by email after your booking is confirmed and the traveller notification is completed. You’ll also find the instructions on the arrival page.

How is the traveller notification made?

You’ll receive the traveller notification form with your booking confirmation. Fill it in before arrival — it’s a legal requirement and also triggers the sending of the door code.

Is parking free?

Yes, there is free parking for several cars in the yard. You can drive up to the yard — the last roughly 200 m is normal gravel road, suitable for an ordinary car.

Rules and other information

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome — we have dogs ourselves. We ask that any mess is cleaned from the yard and extra hair is vacuumed before departure.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is allowed only outdoors in a designated area. Smoking indoors is prohibited and may incur an extra cleaning fee.

Is celebrating allowed?

Reasonable celebrating — for example birthdays or a get-together with a group — is welcome. We ask that you keep the noise level reasonable during quiet hours (23:00–07:00) out of respect for the neighbours. Disturbances may lead to the booking being ended.

What if I need help during my stay?

The hosts are reachable by phone and WhatsApp throughout your stay. Contact details are sent with your booking confirmation.
